Strange "Miscellaneous" comments in checkmytrip

Hi

Does any know what the following comments under the heading "miscellaneous" in checkmytrip would be for?

Notes RETENTION

The flights are on AY, booked through expedia. The itin has nothing to do with SEA and the flights are for Jan/Feb so I'm not sure what it's about. I've had a few issues with AY lately and been in touch quite a bit with their customer relations so could be something to do with that (i.e. the retention bit?). But that would involve them tagging my QF FF number somehow. Is that even possible? What sort of info normally shows up in the "miscellaneous" section? I've checked other itins on checkmytrip and that section isn't even there.

Any thoughts??

Tthey're PNR retention segments, used for market analysis, to keep the PNR live after date of travel.

thanks for the info. any particular reason they'd be doing it with me? I just booked a friend on AY through expedia and hers doesn't have it.
