so i know i am a slow learner. When i look at my account i have 20 dollars plus 3.40 woolworths dollars. Are these one and the same and if i dont use the 20 dollars to reduce my bill will they become able to be changed into qf points when the time comes?

They are both the same.

The next time you go shopping the $20 will come off your shopping bill. When you accumulate another $6.60 Woolworths dollars then you will have another $10 dollars to come off your shopping bill.

If you don't use your card for a while and they finally provide an option to transfer to Qantas then you will be able to transfer the $20 dollars to Qantas at one assumes 870 QFF points per $10 Woolworths dollars.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You have $23.40 on your card. The next time you spend over $10 in a single transaction, it will use the $W on the card in multiples of $10 and lower the payment due. You have no option but to use the $W. The only way not to use them and keep them until they are able to be converted to QF points is to either not scan the card, or to split transactions into less then $10 amounts.
