Status Run + Event on at first stop. Help please

Hello AFF crew,

I am looking to do a status run in a few weeks (19th Jan - 23rd Jan) Perth to Cairns Via Melbourne. There is a Speedway event on in Warrnambool that weekend also.

Is there a way I can book these tickets and when I land in Melbourne stay there for 3 nights then continue to Cairns Monday morning, Spend a couple hours or night in Cairns then return back to Perth?

As you're wanting to stay in Melbourne for more than 24 hours, you'll need to do this as a multi-city booking. This means you'll have to purchase PER-MEL and MEL-CNS at whatever price QF is asking for each individual sector, rather than as a through-booking from PER to CNS. My suggestion to you would be to book PER-MEL as a red-e-deal (as Flex on this route is quite expensive). For MEL-CNS, book as a Flex ticket via SYD and/or BNE. You should still be able to get the return at the price quoted above.

If you can't book this online, you should be able to do so over the phone. Just say that you couldn't do it online and there will be no booking fees.
