What is the best way to get SPG points other than actually staying there.

I have Amex Platinum Charge, Westpac Altitude Platinum and Citi Platinum.

I have no problem getting Qantas Points just need SPG points for Accomodation!

Can I transfer QFF points to SPG?

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't transfer out of QFF.
If you have a platinum charge you can transfer to SPG directly last time i checked.

Yes your correct.

But the rate is 3:1....so its essentially 60k AFF points for 1 night. I dont think its worth it....

Are there any other ways?

When you look at it that way :(
hmmm... thats a good question, i am sure there is other ways but i doubt it would be any better than you have it now, the reason i say that is when people move points/miles to AA they often do it via SPG.
I always try to hold my Amex points with them till i need them and then transfer.

The absolute best way in australia is to be able to get a fee free diners card. Then eat out on Wednesday nights when you get triple points for restaurant spends.Transfer to SPG at 2:1.So for a $100 spend you will end up with 150 SPG points.
Good when then transferring on to AA from SPG as a 25% bonus if transfer in lots of 20000.So on Wednesday nights each $ I spend eating earns 1.875 AA miles.

It depends what you are after.

QFF points are generally the worst place to have point, it's hard for non elites to get a value of much more than 2¢ per point.

Whereas 60,700 Amex can become 20K SPG which can become 25K AA miles.

20K AA miles can get a return award journey on Qantas between any two airports in Oz/NZ.

e.g. PER-ZQN return.

Note that Qantas might charge 50K-60K points and about $230

for PER-ZQN r/t (AAdvantage

will be minimal).
