Last day today for this special, applied online and got approved. the SMS authentication at Submission did not work, so once I get the email with the "saved application" and reference number I rang up and the lovely CSR pressed Submit for me.

NB. the application submission screen indicates the promo code, suggest keep a copy of that.

It looks as though this deal has been renewed as the T&Cs now say: 18th December 2018 to 23rd January 2019.

What can Amplify Points be used for?

Transfer to Krisflyer. 0.75 points per dollar. If you keep the card until your birthday, there's a bonus 10% on the Amplify rewards points earned in that year that makes it 0.875 points per dollar.

Actually 0.825 rather than 0.875 Kangol. You may need a calculator for Christmas.
We are going to London on Kris Flyer Miles so those miles are valuable.

Whoops, wrong button.

Glad to hear it's been renewed. I have some family members who want to sign up for this one. We both already have and love the Dragon, it's a keeper.

Thank you. Is Krisflyer the only option?

Thanks for posting, tagging for future reference .... haven't got sufficient time to apply before departing on our holiday. The extension will just work with our arrival back in the country.

I applied for this one on Monday, emailed payslips in Tuesday morning, got final full approval tuesday afternoon.

I got the conditionally approved text on 14/12. The message said applications are approved in 2 days. Within a day I had sent every possible document they asked for. As at 31/12 have heard nothing. I sent a couple of "status" texts and got back replies saying they were busy with lots of applications.

Beginning to get annoyed with slow progress and might look around for another option although I was looking forward to this one.

If approved I suspect I will have to fight for the $0 annual fee in the first year as the wording says "apply for" not "be approved" by 17/12.

Applied 17th, Sent Docs on 18th, got approved 18th, Card arrived on 24th

good point, the actual wording says this, I am confident that they wont insist on the 'approved' by the 17th, and in any case the offer was extended anyway.

Code:

My gut is that I haven't been approved and a letter will arrive sometime to that effect. I dont understand though as I have a reasonable income (although retired) with no debt and a very good credit score. I am a churner which may count against me. My current card is with ANZ and I spoke to someone there who alluded to the number of cards I had (I had just cancelled 2) so they must have access to that info.

There must be different t & c's on different sites. This one was on the St George site following a link on Pointhacks. The dates have been extended but I still read it as "apply for".

#$0 annual card fee promotion: Available when you apply for a new Amplify Signature Rewards credit card between 18th December 2018 and 23rd January 2019 and make your first purchase within 12 months of card approval. The first annual card fee debited on the 12 months anniversary of the first transaction on your account and annually thereafter.

yes, thats what it says now on the St George website, but what I quoted is what it said on the 17th

Well that was a quick approval , lets see how long the card takes arrive .

My annual bonus 10% was a corker. Mrscove still has months to go to get hers. This card is a keeper as it suits my needs.
