Finally got mrsamroo motivated enough to follow my lead and apply. Boom - another 200,000 amplify bonus points (100,000 year one, 100,000 year two) that will morph into SQ miles and then into SQ suites :p

So, 200K Amplify points for $179 in y1 +$279 in y2 = $458 converts to Kris 100K miles.

Now need to compare this to a VA card, unless someone already has ... ?

As we all know the best reason to get this card isn't the bonus point.

Rec’d 4 emails and 2 texts within 1 minute asking for docs already sent. Hope this process improves very soon.

Applied Monday arvo, approved lunch time Thursday, just in time for a big dental bill.

I think being paid once per year in arrears complicated it. Some banks cope well with it, this one not so much.

Yes I pay myself quarterly and this complicates the CC application process often as anything more than monthly does not seem to be allowed for.

I had to visit a specialist dentist with Mrscove some years ago. Cost was about $950 each for 45 minutes per person and he saved the tooth in each case. I thought at the time I was helping fund his 4 children at private school. I actually don’t begrudge experts as long as they take a credit card.

Did said dentist take Amex? I doubt it. Despite the incredibly high margins in private health, the specialists never seem to accept Amex.
