I don’t suppose anyone knows if you can move between Amplify points and Qantas point earning once you have the signature?

Yes you can, but be aware any points you have earned since your last birthday (or since joining if in the first year) will not receive the 10% bonus if you switch. Only points in the program you switch to will be eligible for the 10%.

And given the sign-on bonus is not part of the birthday bonus total, this suggests to me that changing programs directly after meeting min spend and getting the bonus is the best policy, if you are planning to do so (and if there's no other target driving the switch between programs).

Depending on what points you want to earn with regular spend, how much you will be spending, when your birthday is in relation to the switch and how long you want to keep the card (annual fee after 12mo).

Hi All,

Can we pay bills via BPAY using this card? And if yes, do we earn amplify points by doing so?

Thanks,
K.

its the BPAY recipient that determines if credit cards can be used for payments - not the creditcard.
and you will find most BPAY recipients dont permit it.

Thanks and thanks all that replied.
This birthday bonus is one to consider thanks.

What spend does not count towards the $4000 spend to receive 100000 amplify points?

Can I call them and ask if my spend has qualified? I crossed $4000 a week ago (a total of a month since obtaining the card) and haven't received the bonus 100000 amplify points yet.

Cheers,
K.

1) For the 100k offer that expired on 23 Jan 2019, see post #1.
2) You can call, but they will likely give you and enforce the details (of when you should receive the bonus) in the T&Cs, also in post #1.

Agree. Post #1 seems to detail very clearly what spend does not count.

Post #1 Also indicates that you should not expect your points within a week of reaching minimum spend.

Thanks. Are council rates defined as "government fees"?

One of the stranger situations I've seen around, although if anyone would have a large supply of backup green coloured cards it would be St George

I would love to have an evil twin so I could get another one of these credit cards.
My eldest son will get back from Europe next month so we can get another family member started.

I interpret that as, its annual fee free for the first year but to get the bonus you have to wait until 12 months +1 day, at which you will get charged the annual fee for year 2
