Details on SQ website.

n Sunday, 08 July 2012 Singapore local time (GMT +8), Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will undergo a transition to a new reservations system.

To facilitate this transition, all bookings, reservations and ticket services through www.singaporeair.com,www.silkair.com, call centres, ticket offices and travel agents will not be available from 1800 hours on 07 July 2012 Singapore local time (GMT +8). For information on flight status, please check with the respective airports.

Now that will be one nervous cutover! Makes SAP finance seem banal in comparison.

Really is a worth the wait though. Still cannot understand why DJ is getting rid of this (and Naivtare).

Hope that means their website actually starts working again.

Or deteriorates once more :(

In the last few months I've had no problems with the website -including multi sector bookings with stopovers, seat changes, meals, redemptions. The only big fail was the day they pulled the ATH routes when I was trying to be crafty.

I find it intriguing that Sabre (ie Abacus's owner) let SQ / MI go, when they have a much better product in Sabre, which is what DJ will be picking up. Sabre's strategy of acquiring Abacus, with a view to acquiring customers, obviously hasn't worked here.
Anything to improve the SQ experience here has to be good. Trying to update my booking with FF and Passport details has not been possible. It just doesn't save the data, even though the options are there in the dropdowns. At least their call centre is okay.

This will put them on the same system as QF? I don't expect any integration but at least then the My Flights APP will pick up SQ flights now as well.

3. Will SQ migrate all existing bookings and electronic tickets during the system migration?
All bookings and electronic tickets within SQ’s database will be migrated to Altea. New record locators with a 1A prefix will be sent to the GDSs, and are expected to be completed by 0300 hours on 09 July 2012 onwards.

Going to be fun...

FWIW I am flying OneWorld for the next few weeks just in case (and also my new QFF year started on Sunday).

And the SQ website is currently down while the transition is being done.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The SQ website is now back! And I can finally see (and configure) my SilkAir ticketed bookings (that included SQ segments) on the SQ website! And I can now see that the Amadeus PNR is very different to the original SQ/MI PNR. My Amadeus PNR is an X2xx_x format. And of course checkmytrip.com finds it!

Austman, how do you find your new booking reference and eticket# ? I have found that attempting to look up my flight with the legacy Booking Reference and Eticket numbers sees the website think about it, then nothing happens. SQ's FAQ says legacy should work. BTW - I am not an SQ FF, only DJ.

I had another thought, and as the agent that booked my flight was on Sabre. I used the Agent's Sabre reference via Virtually There, and found the new Amadeus PNR. It would appear that the SQ website is just plainly not working properly (on Firefox and iPad Safari), regardless of legacy or new PNR. Check My Trip however appears to be working fine!

In Singapore Kris lounge right now. Flew out of AMS yesterday 8th and as other users posted, no web anything. Snagless check-in. Departed on time etc

I was looking at some MEL to LHR redemption bookings in J just prior to the conversion. Since the web site has come back online all the SQ228 redemptions have been removed on the thru bookings to LHR. When you check the leg MEL to SIN they are visible. Don't tell me even more teething issues again!!!!

Cheers Danger UXB

I've had the same problem looking at F on a number of routes. I suspect there are now less Saver seats available.

Has anybody found they can't retrieve a booking for review post migration except on mobile website? I'm finding the Ajax engine spins a bit then does nothing.
