Looking for a bit of assistance in relation to SQ J product and lounge availability traveling from either SYD or MEL. At this stage I plan to burn up some VA points via transfer to SQ and fly J to HKG. I have no *A status and rarely use *A carriers. From the lounges available in SYD or MEL for a SQ J booking which would be the better option.

The flights in mind would are both mid morning both locations SYD (11:00) is the a380 and MEL (10:30) is the 777ER. Is there any difference in the product or is the seating the same.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm looking at LHR - BNE and am confused as to the options.

From what I've read, the 777-300ER is the newer business class config, the A380 has the older config (but still has lie flat if you tuck your feet in), and the A330 has no lie flat. Is that right?

so 777-300ER is the pick of the bunch?
