That's a reasonable assumption, but until this is changed, effectively Velocity could point to the page and state no earn in economy on partner airlines.
From the page into I posted earlier ....
Singapore Airlines & SilkAir: Status Credits may not be earned on any Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flights where KrisFlyer miles have been used as a form of payment, irrespective of fare class.
Classes M, H, W, L were classified as Full Fare Economy prior to 1 March 2018.
there was a question on what was "international short haul" - this is just VA destinations- International Short Haul Flights: includes all international flights from Australia to Cook Islands, Fiji, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu
Any Partner flight ( ie SQ) is regarded as "long-haul International" for reference of SC/ points earn
SINGAPORE AIRLINES
F, A, Z, C, D, J, U - First / business
S, T, P - Premium econ
Y, B, E - Full fare econ
N, Q, V, K, L, M, H, W- Discount econ
The status credit table states "Status credits earned per International Long Haul flight (including Partner Airline flights)" ---- Then there is a *note -- " Please refer to the relevant fare class to determine the Status Credits earn as this eligibility will vary dependent on whether the flight is Trans Tasman, Long Haul or Domestic"
Agree the information on the page could be cleared up ..... but when you look at the various points/ notes/definitions etc it all comes together
