I got an upcoming trip with SQ and trying to figure it out how many SC will earn

SIN - SYD - Economy K Class Ticket

am i correct by using the last table of Velocity website putting Singapore Airlines K Class to Discount Economy group .

from there look up the above table for International Long Haul to get Getaway/ Elevate which earn 30 SC on 3912 miles between SIN and SYD

Yes, K class on SQ earns Velocity points at the discount economy rate.

I can't even find the fare type table showing status credit earn for the various distances any more.
The list of SQ fare buckets as Business / Economy / Discount Economy is all fine, so we can see that K class earns a Disc. Econ. but there used to be a further table that then showed what those Business / Economy / Discount Economy earnt per distance range segment. Have just spent an hour on the Velocity site and can't find it anyore.

All of the VA earn tables are there showing earn for Getaway / Elevate fares etc etc, for Domestic / SH. Int / LH Int. but can't find the one for what Business / Economy / Disc. Economy earns.

eg: SQ K fare bucket = Disc. Econ earn.
Now disc. econ for 0-750 miles = ?
for 750-1500 = ?
1500+ miles = ?

here has all your answers

Earn Tables
That table has a major flaw - it lists the main cabin earn categories for flying on partner airlines as one of Full Fare Economy or Discount Economy but has no table showing status earn on partners for those specific categories.

There is a table for earn on VA and Partner for Freedom, Getaway/Elevate.

Agree .. the new website sucks (especially when displayed on a desktop)

Full fare econ = Freedom
Discount econ = Gateway/ Elevate

I think you’re making a rather large assumption with the bolded element above, as partner airline earn does not always align with earn on the airlines own metal.

I still maintain that there is a table missing showing actual numbers of SC earnt for partner airlines in Business/ Econ./ Disc.Econ

In the OPs example above of SQ K Class, we can see from one table that is a Disc. Econ. fare bucket. But for a short haul flight say Australia-SIN, that could equal Getaway (30sc) or Elevate (45sc) or something else entirely (15sc???). The missing table did exist earlier this year as it was the basis for many peoples unhappiness and arguments with Velocity about the SQ/VA earn pre and post 1 March / 13 March.

Will have to check cached pages to see what I can find from before.

My assumptions come with way too much inside information and system knowledge.

That's a reasonable assumption, but until this is changed, effectively Velocity could point to the page and state no earn in economy on partner airlines.

From the page into I posted earlier ....

Singapore Airlines & SilkAir: Status Credits may not be earned on any Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flights where KrisFlyer miles have been used as a form of payment, irrespective of fare class. Classes M, H, W, L were classified as Full Fare Economy prior to 1 March 2018.

there was a question on what was "international short haul" - this is just VA destinations- International Short Haul Flights: includes all international flights from Australia to Cook Islands, Fiji, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu

Any Partner flight ( ie SQ) is regarded as "long-haul International" for reference of SC/ points earn

SINGAPORE AIRLINES
F, A, Z, C, D, J, U - First / business
S, T, P - Premium econ
Y, B, E - Full fare econ

N, Q, V, K, L, M, H, W- Discount econ

The status credit table states "Status credits earned per International Long Haul flight (including Partner Airline flights)" ---- Then there is a *note -- " Please refer to the relevant fare class to determine the Status Credits earn as this eligibility will vary dependent on whether the flight is Trans Tasman, Long Haul or Domestic"

Agree the information on the page could be cleared up ..... but when you look at the various points/ notes/definitions etc it all comes together

One would assume so, but it is currently not there in black and white (or otherwise incontrovertibly)!

In January have two flights coming up on HX; each is classified as Discount Economy based on the fare bucket on that web page. I will advise if these post as "getaway".

Thanks williamsf1. Nice info.
