Splitting Qantas bookings online

I been looking to make some changes to a Qantas award booking for 4 pax. When I called Qantas the other day the CSO said it was possible to split one passenger from the booking online, presumably via MMB. I can't see this option at all. Has anyone done such a thing online?
 
The option never appears for me, but someone on here has in the past posted a screenshot showing a "Split" command on the left of the MMB page (where the Resend tax invoice etc options are).
 
It appears as two twisted arrows in the Manage Your Booking. About middle right. Not in the left panel. Successfully used it just before Christmas.

I can't see anything. I think perhaps this is not possible for awards.
 
I just had 2 awards split so we could upgrade one of the fares. Just call and it takes them 30 seconds.
 
I made the change on a PC. I clicked the arrow symbol and was next asked which pax was to keep the original PNR. I changed my PNR so clicked on next and shortly after received a new PNR for me and existing booking stayed in MrP's account - which was the one in which I had originally booked. I then went on to cancel my booking as I could no longer fly and MrP flew as per existing.

Was this change done on a desktop?

Were you trying to do it on an ipad?

on a laptop. 4 awards showed up so I didn't have to split in the end.

Thanks. I was interested to explore the online, self service options. (achieving the outcome was a secondary issue)
