So, Virgin Double Status Credits kicked off today , what do you have planned ?

With VA Double Status Credits kicking off today until June , I have itchy feet waiting for my first flight in 2 months next Saturday

I have the following booked to requal VA Gold by April.

8th Feb - SYD-OOL-MEL-OOL-SYD
22nd Feb - SYD-BNE-SYD ( FT AGM)
8th Mar - SYD-MEL-OOL-SYD
22nd Mar - SYD-CNS-BNE-SYD


What does every one have booked and planned ? Will you be flying for work or a holiday or doing a "status run" ?

Were these the flights that had to be booked by Dec 31? Only booked one flight (SYD-TSV-SYD) as I can't plan that far ahead.

Unfortunately I already had OOL - MEL - PER sorted but I did manage to book PER - SYD - CNS on flexis During the offer. Stoked as it's travel I already had planned and now netting me 140 SC's!

Still waiting to see if I can pop out and see you on those days gwilli!

In two weeks - HBA-MEL is x2 MEL-AKL and AKL-BNE (not dsc but on NZ). Then BNE-NTL, NTL-MEL-HBA x2 will get me to Silver!! Although I have 9 month old smatho10 for company without Mrs smatho10...

5 Feb MEL-PER-HKT - J - $1,785 - 400 SCs (flight was planned, but I booked with VA for the SCs)
All up, 6 VA sectors. Gets me over the line for Plat for another year. Day flight PER to HKT. Have done reverse overnight (HKT-PER) -not again until VA runs a better J cabin product than 737-800.


Have placed the costs in. Other AFFs may want to compare their SC/$ ratios out of interest.

Sounds good bass-ke. Let me know how you go.I have a few fly ahead option on most transits in OOL , but more than happy to forego and catchup with you or any AFF'ers either in the Lounge or the terminal .

Mine worked out to be 320 SC at around $3.27/ SC , so not to bad .

Not current . The DSC offer was , booking for a period which ended 31st Dec 2013 , for travel Feb-June 2014.

Beginning of March PER-MEL-OOL return, flexi $842 (each) and the offer will get us 280 SCs (each) which will be enough to push me over the line to Platinum and will put hubby well on the way to requalifying for Gold this year as well.

The last double SC offer was some time ago, before we'd understood the ins and outs and benefits of getting (and keeping!) status - which we never would have known if it hadn't been for AFF, and many thanks to everyone on here! As I was getting closer to Platinum than I'm ever likely to again, we were hanging out to see whether a double SC offer would come up - so this is mainly a status run for us, but also so happens that it will be a long weekend for WA and my birthday falls that weekend as well, so we're spending a couple of nights in Broadbeach as well, just to make the trip worthwhile LOL.

I flew PER-EPR 1-Feb and return today EPR-PER for 10 on the outbound 20 on the return so 60 once DSC applied.

And I booked PER-BNE for the AGM, for 20SCs so 40 with the DSC, the price difference between cheapest and flexi was double the airfare.

I wish VA would bring back the cheaper flexi fares especially on trans cons.
