Sniip App - a way of using AMEX cards to pay bills?

Hi team,

I saw this article this morning which looks interesting...
Sniip app to take on big four banks' BPAY | afr.com

If it makes the payment directly from the card you have stored on say your google account (for Android) that could be a way of using AMEX to pay bills.

A bit light on the detail but something worth watching...

In the last (nearly) 6 months there has been nothing about it since. I think you can safely assume that it's dead.

Trying to dislodge the incumbents in the bill payments space (especially Bpay as it will be the first overlay service for NPP) is not a smart strategy.

You can pay BCC rates with it.
