I have two nights, three day stopover in Singapore with 10 pm flight home. Is it possible to get hotel accommodation, airport transfers and half day city tour with any hotel chains or tourist organisations? Could we pay for an extra nights accommodation and not use it?

Paying for the third night is not a problem. Some hotels will offer a discounter 1/2 day rate, but often you need to pay for the whole night. You can then checkout of the hotel at 7pm and make your way to the airport.

You don't mention which airline you are flying. If it is Singapore Airlines they have a stopover package which will include all the things you mention - transfers, hotels, heavily discounted or free tours.

If not on Singapore airlines, doing everything yourself is fairly painless. Taxis are very cheap and the drivers speak pretty good english. Many hotel desks offer their own discount tourist attraction passes.

There's also an airport hotel in SIN which from memory charges in 6 hour blocks.

Don't bother with transfers, too much messing around, just get a taxi which will be very cheap and a lot quicker. The queues are negligible at worst.

Thanks Mel

Totally agree with this. Even if the queue isn't bad, by memory they had set drop offs so depending on where your hotel is on the list, it can take a while or just be annoying if you are tired so just get to your hotel and relax.
