I do not see any official news from Singapore Airlines, However looking at their booking engine, it seems that SQ has upgraded their Morning service to Bombay(SQ421/SQ422) to an A350-900 from a 777-200.
Doing further research it looks like the change has been made from 1st July 2017.

This is a fantastic news for travellers like me, who travel at least twice a year to Bombay and had to use SQ's old 777-200 aircraft. Of course, SQ also has an A380(SQ424) service to Bombay but it reaches at
~9:50 PM while SQ 422 reaches BOM at 10:30 AM which is usually the most preferred for travellers on Australia-Bombay route.

Jealous - As someone who is in Bangalore every quarter, I am just SAD that this has not been bestowed on us!!!!
