Is it just me, or does anyone else think the Singapore Airlines online and phone booking engines are way behind Qantas ?
Since they have no option of downloading an itenarary to calendar, I tried the reference number they gave in checkmytrip.com and virtuallythere.com, neither of which works. I've just rang SIA, and after going through about 20 menu options finally spoke to an operator, who said this booking is not in Amadeus or Sabre, and the booking reference number is just in the Singapore Airlines system. All she could do to help is re-email me the itinerary. That's really helpful :)
I don't have a lot of experience with SIA, and have lots with Qantas, and Qantas (at least in terms of its online and phone systems) seems way better than SIA.
That's about it for my ranting :)
What are your thoughts?

Are you sure it is about 20 menu options?!
Last time I called, it was only 2 or 3.

I do agree with its online booking system being a pain though.... it is not always possible to get your desired combination of flights among the options the computer gives you, especially where you are heading to/coming from somewhere with lots of SQ flights.

Yeah, its not 20. I was just venting :)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

You can view your booking on singaporeair.com with the SQ booking reference. Click on the 'My Bookings' tab and enter the details as required.

SQ is supposed to migrate to Amadeus at some point (there was an announcement some time back) and so in future you'd be able to view SQ bookings on CMT.

I tend to agree. I was with a WP and another PS travelling on SQ recently and we all commented on how difficult the SQ website was to use. In the end we gave up checking in online and headed to the airport.

I think this is an area that QF excels in.
