Just wanted to express my thanks here on AFF to CSM Brett and his excellent Business Cabin FAs who I had the pleasure of travelling with to/from Jakarta.

They were a credit to Qantas, and spoilt us J pax:
* We all got First amenity kits on way over (and the new J amenities kit on way back);
* In addition to decent dinner after leaving Sydney, we were also offered another meal shortly before arrival (with the Chicken Schnitzel sandwich again proving very popular);
* CSM Brett was a warm, genuine host, and made each one of us feel valued;
* Pyjamas for flight home;
* Regular walk-through cabin, with snacks and drinks routinely offered, and always more than happy to met any requests.

Hope to fly with them again, in the future.

Thanks for your kind and encouraging words. I'll ensure they're passed on to management as reference and for internal recognition purposes. :)

I would like to also convey my compliments to CSM Brett South and his crew, and fully agree with all of the praise in Kieran2274's post. Mrs Jimmy124 is Indonesian, so we are often on the 41/42 and have had the pleasure on a number of occasions to be on Brett's flight, where service levels are above and beyond the par of excellence.

Brett South oozes passion, enthusiasm and genuine dedication both in and out of the cabin, and is an invaluable asset to QF.

You may also be interested to know, that Brett is the Indonesian project coordinator for QHHC (Qantas Helping Hands Community) which supports a number of different entities for the unprivileged in Indonesia. At least a couple of times a year, the whole crew partake in a 'working trip' during their slip - the whole tech and cabin crew donate their allowances and time and take orphanages and the like on a fun-filled outing which they would never otherwise experience -(would have liked to include the QHHC website, but as I am a relatively new poster, have not clocked up enough posts:( - qhhc dot org should get you there) - they also regularly hold fundraising events to raise funds for their projects. You will see they actively support charities and organisations here in Australia also.

Well done Brett, well done QF team - a memorable 1000th post to RedRoo on such a positive note, congrats

Thanks for taking the time to add your lovely words. I'll include this with the earlier compliment received for Brett. :)

For your further reference, senior management have also been advised of this feedback in addition to the formal recognition process via his manager.

Brett is an excellent example to his peers, and clearly a genuine and compassionate team member in both his personal and professional life.

Yesterday Ruby and I flew 2 legs in J, QF449 SYD-MEL connecting with QF701 MEL-ADL.
CSM Umberto Kulafrone was on both flights and certainly deserves a special mention for the way we were greeted and taken care of given that the SYD-MEL flight had a full cabin. We had plenty to eat and drink, always correctly addressed and everything we asked for was promptly provided without any hesitation. And we did ask for a few things I might add. Without neglecting other passengers, he even made time for a chat as we asked a few questions of him. Then as we departed the aircraft on both legs he again addressed us both by name, thanked us for flying Qantas and wished us a pleaseant day. What an ambassador for the brand.

I am sure QF staff have people complain about minor things but it's about time that they also got some thanks for a job well done.

Thanks for sharing this experience. I'll be sure to pass on your kind words. :)

Excellent news, although I'm wondering how or why F amenity kits are even loaded on a flight that only offers J? :confused:
