Should I keep flying QF to SIN?

It's becoming increasingly difficult to keep flying QF to SIN. SQ offer 4 flights a day from PER-SIN. Due to the latest status TK match for *A gold, I am almost certain to fly SQ next time to SIN.

On my last QF flight:

1. No WP greeting even though the flight was very empty. A passenger on the other side of the plane got greeted. Could it be they are only greeting P1 and CL members now?

2. Drunk passenger on board. He got up walked down the aisle to the front of the economy cabin during final approach, flight attendants were yelling at him to sit down. He was clearly intoxicated and hugged the female CSM when he got off. She screamed out loud. Overheard one of the passengers behind me saying that he had six bottles to drink. Obviously walking around on short finals to land is dangerous, not just to himself but other passengers. Should the cabin crew have done more than just yell at him to sit down?

3. Bags were tagged FIRST priority baggage in SIN, and they came out LAST. This it not the first time it has happened. Other airlines like SQ and CX can achieve priority baggage delivery at PER. Is this too much to expect?

On the plus side, SIN has a great QF lounge. But lounges aren't everything. I look at the whole package.

not sure that the FAs could have done anything more in this situation - once they are seated they have to stay put until the aircraft is safely on the ground.

a shame there was no go-around, that would have sobered up that t@sser fairly quickly!

Sympathies, Chucksta

I'm not showing much love to QF at the moment, but I did take QF35 MEL-SIN the other day (long booked) in J and it was pretty good experience. J about 1/3 full, economy 1/2 full.

If I was in PER, there's no way I would fly QF unless it had a direct flight to SIN.

The other issues, for me are 1) no huge deal; 2) QF at fault for keeping serving the pax - but FAs shouldn't endanger themselves because some oaf decides to get up. 3) Regrettably, 'situation normal'

As long as QF flies to 747s to SIN I am sticking with them.

Gets a little difficult with seat selection on the A330's.

On the plus side, SIN has a great QF lounge. But lounges aren't everything. I look at the whole package.

1. Understanding the perceived wealth in the west.. It evidently doesn't extend to any (IME) palatial & limited basic improved lounge or airport for that matter..

2. As for the drunken bogan.. Surely a ban should be in force for ignoring the directives of in flight instructions.?

3. The erratic priority baggage delivery issue appears to exist in many ports, not isolated to PER, as well as the very inconsistent service on QF at every level.

As patriotic as I am & quite a loyalist, I would be considering transferring to SQ & also sending feedback to QF on these quite valid points of shortfall.
