Shop Small June – August 2020

There goes one of live's pleasures - the receipt of an unexpected Amex email saying you had just triggered an offer. Often happened in Shop Small when it is hard to get a definitive list of included places.

Likewise, discovered that many of the auto spares/supply shops are included DESPITE not appearing on the excel spreadsheet listing. Won't need any replacement car bulbs for a while... As they became half price - got one spare of each (failing type) across the cards. Definite design flaw on Camry's where left side bulbs in headlights etc fail 6x more than identical on R side.

I don't know that has ever occurred previously.

Lists have been 'borrowed' from OzBargain though. I've seen a list there, but it's not (yet) as good as in previous years.

Thanks for that. You probably already know that if you want to sort it you can. Just click on the top of any column and either chose A-Z or Z-A. So for example you can sort them into a list by postcode (or suburb) etc.

When you have it the way you want (or you can do this step at the start) then copy the desired content and paste it into a spreadsheet program you have. Makes it much easier to to a multi level sort such as by postcode by suburb by category by name for example

Has anyone yet received an actual $5 Shop Small credit on their account? I've done a few transactions now at places listed on the map - no emails and no credits, even though some of those settled earlier this week. In the past I remember AMEX being much quicker with the credits!
(I'm also still waiting on a supermarket credit from a shop last weekend... maybe their cashback system is just backed up.)

I haven't yet received any cashbacks (or emails) from the current Shop Small period, although the earliest transaction was Wednesday and cleared yesterday, so I'm not panicking yet.

The Everyday Essentials cashbacks have been several days in arrears of the relevant transactions clearing.

To update, received my first $5 credit today, from a transaction on Friday. Transactions from earlier in the week still haven't credited, so it seems there's no particular 'X day' delay... they show up when they feel like showing up!

Since Amex changed the system so that all our supplementary cards had to have their own logins rather than under a master login, been Harder for me to take advantage of these. Having said that only got one offer in one primary charge card and no shop small
Offers on any of my other primary cards when I login.

first store from a week ago, credit not processed, even though later trans have credited
Chat: said they couldnt find the store, even though it shows up on the map with logo
they said wait 14 business days,

really struggling to use small shop this time around, since its targetted, smaller spend, covid
