Shop Small June – August 2020

Yeah, I found the $20 limit was under my usual lunch so I started inviting my girlfriend to a lot of lunches during Shop Small!

The $10 limit will be easier for me to work with when flying solo.

Anyone got a manual link? Or able to activate yet? Today is the day, and the Shopper page on the Shop Small microsite now had been updated, but none of my accounts or supps show the offer. And I've never had a card miss out before that I can recall.

Got onto Amex.

They're slowly rolling it out today to see if their systems can cope (?). Nearly all cards will have the offer by 17:00 today.

Increased available 'card spots' from 118,000 last year to 300,000 for this offer. So they've more than doubled available acs but halved the value.

Still better value than my 2019 VFF flight which got cancelled this morning....

They havent really halved the value; its 10 x $5 credits instead of 5 x $10 credits.

AMEX online chat is now saying that Small Shop is targeted and they have no ability to manually register any one.

Was probably the only way they could stop people getting an email every time they shopped at Coles and Woolies (regarding the current bonus point offer)!

There's no cap this year. The 300k was a comms error. All eligible cardholders can register for this offer.

Bit of a bummer, I did like getting that notification. Used to be able to get a push notification from the app as well.

There goes one of live's pleasures - the receipt of an unexpected Amex email saying you had just triggered an offer. Often happened in Shop Small when it is hard to get a definitive list of included places.
