SG FF Travelling on Jetstar Starter Fare, Available Lounges?

Hi All,

If traveling on any of the Jetstar/Jetstar Asia flights internationally with a Starter fare, can a SG FF use any lounges that are not Qantas?

Thanks

Hi Duck, unfortunately you can only use a Qantas lounge, as Jetstar is not part of OneWorld.

Thanks Pablo, I thought that would be the case. I assume this is the same even if I book a Jetstar/Jetstar Asia flight through the Qantas website or is this different as it might have a QF flight number on the boarding pass?

Correct.. Needs to be Qantas metal.

Also note that at NRT, where QF does have a lounge, you won't get access when flying JQ or JJ (Jetstar Japan) as they now depart from a separate low cost terminal

Thanks for the heads up moa999, I was unaware of that.

SIN is likely to be the only airport in Asia whilst flying 3K that will give you Qantas Lounge Access, and that is after the lounge opens at 2:30pm if I'm not mistaken.

That is correct Cool Cat Phil. I have been waiting at the door in Singapore before for my connecting flight to Perth a number of times.

3K has a couple of daily HKG-SIN flights that would also provide access and BL (Jetstar Pacific) has a tri-weekly HKG-HAN

But with the BKK closure, think that's it

Thanks for the info moa999, the options are very limited especially when Qantas flights are almost nonexistent out of Perth, a daily 737 to Singapore that's it. The other international airlines make QF look like a amateur out of its home country.

Correct. SIN and HKG are the only ones left for JQ (and its equivalents) internationally.

Outside Asia also HNL and AKL

Thanks for the details Awesom Andy and moa999 its hard to find the small accepted pubs that do accept the QF status. Actually you just reminded me I also went to Queenstown NZ last year and was allowed into the lounge there on a JQ flight

Cheers

Does said terminal have a lounge for *Class Pax?

I think the HNL lounge is soon going the way of the dodo, and Jetstar doesn't fly out of AKL internationally. I don't think they get to use the same lounge for domestic flights either?

Also, there's no lounge access for anyone from NRT. At the very least, they have not listed out any replacements after the terminal move last year.

Hi there- was that a JQ international or domestic NZ flight? I thought that the NZ lounge there was only if you were on a QF (international) service.
Thanks!

There has been no announcement about the HNL lounge closing, just an incorrect statement in an AusBT article which they've since corrected.

Also there certainly are international flights from Auckland on JQ to Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast. You are correct though in that you can't use the lounge for domestic JQ flights.

Occasionally, I do somehow think that AU/NZ flights are domestic...

Has anyone had any luck with the CIP lounge in BKK since the QF lounge closed, with their SG or higher status on a Starter Fare?
