Last year we had the pleasure of a long haul Y trip BNE-AMS with QF/EK. Our trip looked something like this:
Amsterdam - Ghent by train
Ghent - Berlin via Brussels overnight sleeper train
Berlin-Copenhagen (SAS flight)
Cpoenhagen - Helsinki (SAS flight)
Helsinki- Stockholm (Silja Line overnight ferry)
Stockholm - Iceland (Reykjavik).

There was near record breaking high temps whilst we were in Berlin and Copenhagen, which can get uncomfortable as air conditioning is not very common in accommodations or the public transport system. We tend to travel under the assumption of "the more we walk, the more we can eat". I love my food and prefer to walk, cycle around town, people watch and sample the amazing foods on offer. Have been to Berlin a few times before and it always is a favourite stop of mine. Stockholm was beautiful and can see going back there quite easily, perhaps in the cooler season. As per my last thread on Iceland, I prefer to document with pictures over words - but please feel free to ask any questions.

Great photos. Love that area of the world and travelling on trains in Europe. We were there before joining the ship in Tromso and ending up in Reykjavik. We took the train from Stockholm to Narvik which included overnight on the first leg to Boden. Great fun.
