SC rollover but not sectors?

I recently was downgraded to SG and my account summary page has changed accordingly:

Eligible sectors required to upgrade to Platinum[SUP]2[/SUP]	8

I see in the "Upgrade to Platinum" section the SC's and flown sector at 100 and 4 - that's fine as it represents the eligible segments I took in the previous year.

However for the required to upgrade section, should that decrease with each flight or will it remain at eight?

(I'll know more after this morning's flight posts I guess)

It will always remain at 8. Key word is eligible.
