On July 10th I used the SATS Lounge at Changi's Terminal 2. I had added lounge entry as an extra on a SIN to OOL flight travelling economy. It's not necessary to be travelling business to be eligible to pay for lounge entry and this was my only ticket add-on. I printed out a boarding pass using one of the terminals at Scoot check-in and then approached a roaming Scootee in their canary yellow uniform to confirm the boarding pass could be scanned for lounge entry.
Entry to the SATS lounge was painless with a simple scan of my boarding pass. Comfortable chairs with plenty of USB or electrical outlets for charging. Large TV's with English subs switched on, computer work booths, showers, high end magazines, stools with bench style seating if you're over-slouched! WiFi is Good.
I had time to kill and worked my way through Scotch whisky, Gin and Chilean reds and whites - all agreeable. There is a range of beers.
Food looked good and fresh but it was cold as if there was no heat to the bain marie? I wasn't overly concerned as this seemed to be a thing at two SE Asian hotels I had stayed at in the preceding days. I also had a go at cheese, olives and snacks. Packet sandwiches were available and there was a hot toaster with rolls, croissants and bread. There is a coffee machine and the ubiquitous instant noodle cups. There is a self serve Laksa stand which I didn't try but it looked OK. I can only give the food an "average" but it's plentiful and value for money compared to spending three hours outside in the terminal.
I paid $30 AUD when I booked on Scoot. I note the same lounge pass was priced at $40 AUD after currency conversion when I looked at the lounge add-on yesterday for a HKG to SIN Scoot. Not worth $40.
My flight was delayed so I spent three hours relaxing, drinking and eating - good value @ $10 per hour. Sorry, no pics.
