Hi there.
Just been looking at flights for a friend travelling BNE-BGO in Y. EK looking like a good option with fares via DXB then CPH or OSL, with the last sector to BGO on an SAS flight. I’m shouting DXB lounge access on the way through, but I’m just wondering how I book the last sector into an SAS PLUS fare that would also get lounge access at CPH or OSL.

Also is Y on the EK A380 much superior to their 777? The former flies on DXB-CPH, the latter on DXB-OSL. Unfortunately I haven’t done Y on the EK A380 .

I'd expect that you wouldn't be able to book the SAS plus option with Emirates. Emirates don't have an equivalent in their system, and as it's not an SAS booking you couldn't use their upgrade mechanism. Similar to how if you're on the Qantas codeshare on an Emirates flight, you can't upgrade.

As for A380 Y, the view is subjective, but I'd easily rate it as superior, and it's my favourite econ option. More internal cabin space, and better cabin climate and lower noise. It's still an economy experience obviously, but preferable to the 777.
