can see some dangerous situations at airports if we get a few of those around. Looks interesting though...

Prepare for a new sign to appear in an airport near you....scooter use prohibited $200 fines apply

Our major supplier in Nanjing China had a prototype 'electric scooter' that folded into a brief case - he wanted us to market it in Oz - I deleted all the pics I had cause it was such a rediculous concept - I will try to get some more pics to show you.

Perfect for those who cannot get into the QF F lounge in SYD and relegated to the long walk to the QP.

Unfortunately I'm not that thick-skinned! But it looks like a great idea, I'd buy one if it wasn't a lot more than existing products.

Am I the only one that is self-concious?

I have visions of men in suits scooting from the J Lounge to their gate looking like 6 year olds.

Just me? Must be crazy.

I see guys in suits with messenger bags over their shoulders on razor scooters most days during my commute through the city.
In the aeroport it would be tricky to carry all that chocolate and steer... Personal observation only.

While bored recently I read through the manual ... yeah, I know. I must have been bored!

While a great idea, there are so many limitations. Steering is done via body movement, The max weight is 100Kg (rider) + 7kg luggage. Is not to be used down slopes.

I know a lot of the above is the "obvious" legal disclaimer, but still shows the limitations.

And most airports are carpeted. I wonder how that would work?

OK guys here ya go.

Was in China last week and dug these pics up in one of our suppliers.

Introducing the All New Totally Useless Powered Brief Case - the next big thing - the new sensible way to get the busy executive to your airport gate on time.

This classic was commissioned and kinda designed by a supplier to Sharper Image amongst others.

One of our Chinese partners developed the final prototype - they begged me to sell them here in Australia.

200W geared brushed motor - 2 x 12V 7Ah sealed lead acid batteries - 16Ah brush controller - twist grip activation - standard bicycle type handlebar mounted brake lever.

Max speed - 12kmh - max range - who knows - maybe 5-8km.

Weight approx 20kg.

Great idea? Maybe - except 2 drawbacks:

1. No airport would ever sanction their usage.

2. No airline would ever let you take it on a plane.

D'oh - didn't think of that!
