I am heading off to Zurich next month and will travel to Zurich on Royal Jordanian via Amman.

My starting point will be Hong Kong.

I am in Crown Class and would like to know if anyone else has had a recent experience with RJ or would have any points of view?

I am looking forward to seeing Jordan on route to Zurich as it will be the first time there.

Thanks in advance for any help, info or hints.

Just wanting to highlight this post again as it seems odd that there isn't any info out there that can be provided?

Thanks,

Parksie

I have had two flights on RJ - DXB-AMM and AMM-LCA. Both were pretty reasonable. The 2 hour flight DXB-AMM would compare favourably with QF J SYD-AKL.

The AMM-LCA flight was on one of their newest aircraft with reclinging beds and was pretty comparable to QF skybeds.

QUeen Alia airport at AMM is a coughhole though.

I have been to a lot of airports and wasnt sure why everyone is so down on Amman's Queen Alia airport. I found it fine. The new terminal in 2012 looks like it will be great though

Too late for the original post but I have just flown RJ and have blogged about them. I found them to be a great airline in Economy. :)

Here is the blog post: An Aussie goes travelling....a lot...: My first flight with Royal Jordanian

Thanks for the interesting blog report. I am doing BKK-AMM-CDG with them in a couple of months in J. The price was the clincher and I liked the hardware (bed mainly) in J last time. I too have read about them refusing entry to the AMM lounge until 3 hours prior to to the connecting flight departure time. Since I booked RJ has delayed my Paris flight by 3 hours so that the transit is now 6.5 hours. I guess no lounge for that time which is probably the punishment for taking the cheaper itinerary.

I am having my first RJ flight BKK-KUL in May, and I am looking forward to it already! :)
