Hi all,
I'm considering using RewardPay to pay the ATO. To add the ATO as a payee you need to add details such as ABN, address etc. It is not clear what these details are! I would greatly appreciate it if people could tell me what they are using for:
1) ABN
According to the Australian Business Register, the ABN of the ATO is 51 824 753 556. Is that correct?
2) Address
The ATO website lists the mailing address as:
Australian Taxation Office
GPO BOX 9990
IN YOUR CAPITAL CITY
and then says not to replace the words "IN YOUR CAPITAL CITY". I presume this would present a problem for the RewardPay website as there would be no postcode to enter
The ATO lists an alternate mailing address to be used for lodgement of taxation returns:
Australian Taxation Office
GPO Box 9845
Sydney NSW 2001
Can I use the Sydney address instead?
3) Phone number
A number of different phone numbers are listed on the ATO website. Which one should I use?
