Retrospective Points Allocation?

Hi All,

Ok, here's my scenario. I've booked a JASA ADL-PER-KGI return in June with the outbound on a Thursday and return the following Monday with eligability for DSC. The first sector would be enough to get me to Gold for the first time assuming the DSC's were to post the same day (which I know they don't). On the return sector, I would still be Silver until back in ADL. When the DSC's come through a few days later post trip, would the QFF points earned on the KGI-PER-ADL journey be initially earned at Silver rates and then be 'amended' if you like to reflect Gold earning rates or is there something in the T's and C's about status of time of travel and therefore the amount of points earned?

Sorry if this confuses anyone, but I couldn't write it any easier and have no idea what to expect in my QFF account!

How long is your wait in PER on the Thursday and what time do you depart/arrive? Shou should find that the SC have posted by the time you land in PER.. Or they should be in your account not long after.. So you may be able to go straight into the lounge.. Or refresh your account on your phone and it should post pretty quickly after landing... (I know you didn't ask this.? Lol)

regarding points. I don't know the rules? But I think the first flight will post quickly and not give you any issues with extra points earnt on the other flights..

edit: doh!!! Lounge access won't be a problem for you with a JASA!

Flights arrive PER 1630 and depart and hour later. Having worked it out, I get 120 SC's for the journey over + 120 for the DSC's. Just checking my summary and I need 235 SC's to get to Gold hence why I'm totally unsure about the return Journey if the system will still have me as Silver or Gold!

Not a problem, Qantas will adjust the earning rate once the SCs have been earned. So even if the BP showed PS once everything is sorted the earn will be at SG level.

Yes.. Sorry i was thinking you would earn SG off the first 120 (non bonus) As Hvr said it will sort itself out.. No doubt the bonus SC will probably take longer to post.. But you never know!? Let us know how long it takes for the bonus SC to arrive in your account!?

At least I know that everything is sorted out in due course so no issue then. First time reaching Gold, so looking forward to enjoying some time spent in the QP as opposed to wasting time waiting in the terminal.
