I was trying to get into the QC Lounge in Auckland Intl flying on a Jetstar Plus ticket and the old bird on the counter refused to let me in with a gold qantas cash card, I showed her my ID, boarding pass and QFF number and even showed her status credits on the qantas website and frequent flyer app and she refused to accept it. I had a guest with me during this whole argument and it was really embarrassing...Had to take her to the bar downstairs instead...

I am a recently new gold member, (a month ago) Is it a requirement to have your membership card with you? If so it seems really silly to carry both a qantas cash and a membership card displaying the same information...

I assume your Qantas Cash card is new, and has the membership card on the flip side, there is no separate membership card unless you have a QP card.

Always get the persons name, then report it. I have never 'lost' a difference of opinion when I can name the person.

But if that fare gets you access, then you should have had access. (I haven't ever used Jetstar so don't know)

Sounds odd they wouldn't let you in when you're showing a QF card.
Perhaps the name on the card/boarding pass did not match? Sounds like there's more to the story...

If flying Jetstar, you need to show the card that validates your eligibility to enter the lounge (Qantas Club card, or the Platinum or Gold Frequent Flyer card). So yes, you need your gold FF card. If you turned gold a month ago, you should have got a combined gold FF card, and cash card...

sounds to me there is a typo in the OP post. I think it should be "without the Gold Card"

Qantas Cash card and Membership Card are the same card, just flip it over...
