Reports: Shots fired at JFK airport

A journalist at New York's JFK airport reported people were evacuated after a suspected shooting at one of the terminals. Appears to be Terminal 8, QF use T7 but other OW use T8


There are unconfirmed reports of shots being fired at New York's JFK Airport. The New York Fire Department said a call came in at 9:38pm local time for reports of shots fired at the airport, CBS News reported.


People at the airport reported panic as gates were closed but it remained unclear what had happened.


I hope this is not another lone loony out to make a name for themselves and everyone is ok and get out safely

Twitter now saying, no shots fired but someone reported a man with a gun

Appears to be Terminal 8, QF use T7 but other OW use T8

QF, CX, IB and BA use T7. JL uses T1. The rest of oneworld uses T8 (QR uses T7 for 1 flight, T8 for the other).

Looks like someone made a hoax call. The PAPD responded and evaced T8. People panicked.
