Hi,

I'd also like to know if you can recommend a credit card for getting the best frequent flyer miles/rewards traveling from the US to Australia.

I looked up doing Frequent Flyer Miles with Air New Zealand and it looks like they charge a fee. Any other airlines have FF programs with no fees that you recommend?

Thank you!

First are you already in a FF program in the US?If so no need to ditch it.A lot of us here are in one world programs but as you looked at NZ perhaps you are in Star?
Most would reccomend Amex here. Most of the other CCs will credit direct and only to QF.The one I use is Diners because I credit to AA and was able to get it fee free and with 1.5 points to $A which is not usual.Certainly if in the AA program there is no need to change and amex can credit there via SPG.

Are you looking to put the cost of the USA - Au flight on a cc ?

QF do not charge a joining fee if you are in the USA. You can change the address later

No Star airlines fly dometic routes in Aust. Qanatas, Jetstar & Virgin are the main players domestically

As above you may be better to stay with your US ff programe
