So following interest in the Feb thread , I figure we should get the ball rolling for the Regular MEL Yum Cha Event for March & start a new thread.

So Far March 23rd is a date many of us have already put forward as a suitable date.

And since we're only a few weeks away, maybe we should stick to that date, as time is literally flying by.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a Venue & time to meet up on Sunday March 23rd?

Who's Pumped up & Raring to Go for the Third MEL Yum Cha event?

Don't know about a venue, but lunchtime would be good as I probably have to leave for work that afternoon.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

True Chinese Yum Cha is essential served at lunch time only.

Gold Leaf in Docklands have good Yum Cha.
IMHO Gold Leaf was not a pinch on where we went in February.

Not really
relevant as I/we will be somewhere on the NSW coast on the 23rd March. Have a great time where ever you end up.

And list me as maybe... To far out to know where I shall be

Will keep an eye on this thread to find out location/timings etc, i may or may not still be in Melbourne on 23rd...subject to a quick OS holiday :)

Howdy Folks.... So far we have a handful of interested People for Yum - Cha this coming Sunday.

From intentions made so far I figure that we have as:

Cool Cat Phil

Gold:

So let me know if this is your correct Status & we would always love to add to the list at any time!:D

Do we need a poll to decide the location or should we go with Shanghai Dynasty or Gold Leaf ?

I reckon we should wrap this up & make a booking by say Thursday?

What Do the Yum-Cha Reveller's think?

Gold Leaf in Docklands have good Yum Cha.
And earn (lots!) of QF points ;)

You guys are on a roll. I picked (and attended/organised) the first. The subsequent are have been/are dates i'm not in Melbourne (and tbh, i'm not actually travelling that much atm).

I'll pencil myself in for April, but, I have a friend in town staying with me for the entire month and he's not into anything adventurous (Yum Cha is *definitely* out).

Gold Leaf was lovely last w/end when I was there. Managed to be right next to a stream of super-fresh dumplings. Very tasty!

If Gold Leaf was where we were in Jan, then the no shrimp/pork pickings were very slim indeed. I would like to try somewhere different, as I won't bother going there again.
