Red e-deal change conditions different for Dom and Int?

When I missed a flight in South America due to fog I was able to change the red e-deal flight on the day and pay a 60 buck change fee...

I'm just read the conditions on the red e-deal for domestic and it says you can't change it on the day of the flight... so are the International and Domestic red e-deals treated differently or was I just lucky with the change in SA...

This leads to a 2nd question, what is the cheapest type of fare which allows for same day changes regardless of the carrier?

Each flight has different conditions based on where its departs from and goes to:

To answer your second question requires the answer to what route you intend to fly, as you have discovered each country is often different let alone each carrier.

The 2nd question was in relation to pure domestic travel. Most often flights are from Syd to the other capitols.

Thanks for the link... that really puts it into perspective... wonder why they only charged me 60 to change the flight not the 150 usd... I'll take it winfall =)
