My better half has just received her Qantas newsletter which shows that her points are due to expire on 31 May which we would like to keep. It's not many points but enough for an upgrade or a few free domestic flights and we'd rather keep them than let them expire. Most of our travel is with Virgin however and so that is where we have directed our efforts to secure points (eg credit cards).

I was aware before the newsletter arrived that the points were due to expire and have used Woolworths rewards as well as AIRBNB via Qantas to earn some points. However the points won't credit to her account until after the expiry deadline. I have just realised that Woolworths rewards credit every 3 months.

Does anyone have any ideas to quickly earn some (inexpensive) QFF points. I thought about the Qantas toolbar but I don't know whether that is still available.

Any suggestions appreciated.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

An Epiqure wine purchase usually posts overnight.

Its just any activity right? Doesnt a family transfer count as activity?
Transfer a few thousand points to yourself and then later transfer them back. Or vice versa transfer some of your points over to her account.

I was just about to scour the T&Cs myself to see whether this was possible. Thanks for the link

Edit: (g) family transfers do not count as activity for the purpose of preventing Qantas Points from expiring. - so say the T&Cs

On the other side of the ledger, a 2900 pt donation to charity would also keep the account active.

Could see if there are any Red Planet research surveys on offer, they credit overnight as well. I assume they count as a points earn?

You could load the minimum $50 onto her Qantas Cash and use it, takes 1 month to post to account so you should have enough time.

Many thanks for the ideas. I hadn't thought about transferring points to me.
