Questions about renewing Advantage Plus

Hi,

I have 2 questions that I would like any input on thanks. My Advantage Plus is up for renewal in Feb.

1 - I am currently Platinum, but have only had enough stays to be Gold for next year, do you think I could talk them into keeping my Platinum if I renew? How much authority do the phone sales staff have in this do you think?

2 - If I choose not to renew and let it lapse do you know if they send you discounted offers to renew to try and get you back? (I know a few companies do things like this).

hi Tk14,

just went through this. Renewed adv plus (was platinum). Without noticing they dropped me straight to SILVER. What followed was six weeks of phone calls. Only the manager gets to decide if he can keep you platinum- so when they ring to do the "sell" - tell them ONLY of you keep me plat- get it in WRITING if poss...then cross fingers...good luck
