I re-qualified for Gold back in May even though my review date was August 17th. For the last two weeks or so my membership has been stuck on assessing activity.

Between May and August I got myself in a position where I am about 100SC short of qualifying for Platinum and have also also exceeded the minimum flights to upgrade to platinum once I hit the SC's, I have 100SC worth of flights booked for the end of September and looking at my membership today it has reset my qualifying flights to 0.

So whilst I would have qualified for Platinum at the end of September it seems I will now have to wait until I get the minimum qualifying flights again to actually be upgraded. Mega frustrating...

As some background I probably fly on DJ/VA metal 4 times per quarter but have 6 flights a quarter on SQ metal, so it is very easy for me to get the SC's but more so time consuming to hit the minimum qualifying flight numbers.

Just my little rant...

As a Platinum my qualifying flights are at Zero. I think you will find that this counts down, not up. The page says "Additional sectors required to maintain .......". So if you are showing Zero, then you require no extra sectors. You will click over to Platinum when you get the right level of SC.

I believe there is a different counter for attaining the next higher level that counts up.

And something appears to have happened overnight and I am presented with this:

Crisis averted... :)

I guess a similar question to Nitro (and rather than start a new thread), I'm a Velocity Gold member and I've just re-qualified for Gold although my review date isn't until end January 2013. It's unlikely I will obtain enough status credits between now and then to move up to Platinum, but my query relates to flights/status credits post my 400 'achieved' to maintain Gold. If I don't obtain Platinum status by end January 2013, do any flights that I've taken since now (ie September 2012) through to end January carry-over towards my re-qualifying as Gold in 2013? I just can't seem to find out if this happens or if I just start again in February 2013 - would be great if it did however!

The rolling 12 month period only helps with upgrades. Your review date will remain the same for requal until such time as you upgrade. If you don't upgrade, your status review will only occur at the review date so your eligible flights (and SCs) between now and Jan '13 will be effectively wasted unless you "family pool" your SCs (can't family pool your eligible flights).

Newbie question - how do I find out when my review date is? Is it the date that you obtained status or the date that you joined the program?

Thanks!

If you are a red tier Velocity member, your review date is the date you joined Velocity, which is shown under your "account details" section of your Velocity account (you need to sign in to view that).

If you are a higher status holder (silver, gold or platinum), your review date changes to the the date you achieve each higher tier of status and is printed in the bottom left corner of your Velocity Rewards card and is also displayed under your "maintain status" section of your Velocity account (you need to sign in to view that).

No review date shows for Velocity Reds - because one does not exist.

It will only be calculated and appear once one earns the requisite 250 SC's along with 2 Eligible Sectors have been flown within any 12 month period.

Thanks swanning_it - appreciate the response. Thought this might be the case, but was secretly hoping that it wasn't. The other half is a Platinum already, but things may change over the coming months (ie less flying), so might be worth looking at family pooling the SC's. Enjoy your day!
