QR v EY J class to Europe

Due to a slight change of plans we are now starting our European holiday by departing from Manila instead of Hong Kong. We are looking at MNL-CDG on the way over and LHR-MNL on return. We have flown EY J class before and have had a couple of good legs and a couple of ho hum legs so to speak. Have found flights for the same route on QR for about $400 more and having never flown with QR I was seeking advice as to whether they would be a better option and was after the pros and cons of both airlines as in lounges, stop overs etc. Loved Abu Dhabi but never been to Doha. Both airlines use the 777-300ER on the Manila to ME route and both use the A388 on the ME to Europe legs. Any advice and experiences would be appreciated

If you like bling and bad service, EK all the way. QR is more refined and whilst crew aren’t always exceptional, more often than not they’re great. Dine on demand is also great on QR as is DOH - it’s big but less insane than DXB and the lounge, IMHO are better
