Currently looking at the details of various QP memberships in the lead up to a probable holiday next year with my grandmother and a couple of great aunts to London.
With my Velocity Gold status, I've got used to having lounge access and J travel will not be an option. I would also feel guilty leaving most of the travelling party in the terminal while I go and drink up..
So, I've been thinking about QP membership and flying QF/BA. I can access a corporate QP rate, so was thinking:
Corporate QP: Enables access for Me + 1 guest; and
Annual Guest card: 1 guest in my company; and
Partner QP membership: 'Partner' + 1 guest
For a total of Me + 4 others having access. At a (not insignificant) cost, of course.
I have got my information from this page. Am I correct in my assessment of the memberships?
I note that the annual guest card is "valid in Qantas operated lounges branded as the Qantas Club and joint Qantas/British Airways, and Qantas/American Airlines lounges. It is not accepted in associated and partner airline lounges (including British Airways or American Airlines Lounges and other oneworld lounges.)". Does this mean it would be useless in LHR?
