QLD Airports closed - storms July

Any one stuck on Hamilton or at mackay? How are the airlines treating stranded or delayed pax?

Bit of a beat up, the airports are not closed.

I was on qf2308 into Gladstone this morning. There was zero visibility of the runway pilot attempted the approach twice and then continued on to Rockhampton. They had a bus waiting to transport passengers to Gladstone so instead of arriving at 1010 we finally arrived at 1345.
I understand the weather can't be blamed on qantas, but the customer service could be improved by telling loved ones waiting in Gladstone what is happening with the flight in a timely manner. My other half waited and waited fearing the worst until finally qantas told her the flight was returned back to Brisbane. Imagine her surprise when I finally land in Rocky and can call her.

Maybe I'm so grumpy about it because I was on the red eye out of Perth before the Gladstone flight
