QFF Award Allocation for MH vs BAEC

Hi guys

I hope you're all well.

Just a quick question -- do the award allocations differ between BAEC and QFF for MH flights? The reason I'm asking is because I rang up QFF to ask for a quote on taxes for a classic award on MH and they said they couldn't see any at all in their system whereas there were heaps of choices on BAEC when I checked online for the same dates.

QF and BA frequent flyer members should have the same access to award seats on MH, AFAIK. Perhaps you got a dud operator? Try calling again.

MH award flights don't appear on QF.com, but the BA site should be a good indication of what is available by calling up.

There's an issue with MH availability showing up on QF's side. Most of the time the QF agent can get around this by doing a long sell.

Indeed you were both right, it was probably some trickery they needed to do to get the MH award availability. I rang back and the new agent had no trouble at all getting the availability and it was all done in 5 minutes.

My advice to those in the same pickle is to hang up and call back.

I wonder if MH is now releasing more award inventory to OW partners that they would previously have kept for themselves (demand presumably having dropped since Enrich devalued)
