I've attempted to do a search to see if there was a conversation about this as I was sure there would be, but I couldn't find one.

If anyone else having difficulty with Awardwallet and QF 2FA? I've had my account locked several times now, I have given up and disabled QFF in award wallet for now, but I'd like to reenable it.

I can not find any real information about the issue online.

I had the same... I couldn't figure out why Qantas kept send me SMS codes. I ended up disabling QFF in award wallet too.

Reviving an old thread... I'm just setting up AwardWallet today with all my things & places but cannot get my QFF account setup.

Looks like AW is getting challenged by QF when using my provided credentials, then AW gets asked "security questions" about mothers-maiden-name and postcode etc all of which I have answered correctly.... but still, AW cannot connect... says the information is wrong.

I have 2FA setup on my QFF account and the first time AW tried to log in as me I got an SMS with a code to enter.

So is it just a case that AW is not updated to handle 2FA code requests from the QF system?

.

I've got award wallet and don't have issues with qf, only flybuys which asks for surname and dob

AW works for me with Qantas and I have 2FA set up.

I do get 'random' SMS codes from "Qantas" - which is somewhat annoying but it is either that or perform manual AW updates for my Qantas information.

OK thanks guys... I'll have another go tomorrow... says I have only one chance left before the account is locked :(

Works fine for me. I do get the SMS but it doesn't seem to stop Awardwallet retrieving my balance. I must admit I have however wondered if that in itself indicates a bit of a security hole, i.e. you can get around the 2FA and dont actually need to authenticate?.

UPDATE: *SOLVED*
  • Before trying again today, I poked around in my QFF account and found a (blank/unfilled) section where I was to chose three "security" questions and provide answers, you know the kind.. your teachers cat's favourite colour etc...
  • I had never seen or been prompted to complete this area of QFF profile before.
  • I filled out the questions and SAVED in QFF profile.
  • Logged back into AW and again added QFF account... was prompted from within AW to answer all three of the security questions I had just set up - and that was it, all done. :)
As previously mentioned I have 2FA activated on my QFF account. I did not receive any SMS today from QFF with one-time-code. Presume they triggered the three-question-challenge instead.

I get the QF SMS repeatedly from AW, but have just learnt to ignore them.
