Interesting to see how QF are keeping the codeshare on LA and operating their own SYD-SCL service (albeit the QF service is less frequent but non-stop).

The timings of each flight don't seem too bad. 3 and a bit hours should be sufficient time on the ground at SCL to pad out most delays.

I wonder if this new move might work nicely in light of South American mining operations (of which some significant ones are located in Chile and Peru).

I suspect LA752 to GRU might be of interest to a few folk in the mining industry. ;) (Although just under two hours doesn't give that much margin for delay.)

Sale on the cards shortly perhaps?

Not sure about a sale, but the ^ remark sounds like the standard boilerplate for any upcoming new route.

Days work for my planned trip to Scl next year.

Good, means more chance of snagging a J award for my +1:p

It will be interesting to see what they do codeshare wise in the future, in my case I'm hopeful that LA will codeshare on QF27/28, I'd love to avoid stopovers in Auckland.

definately of interest, always good to avoid TAM. prob at least 3 trips to gru next year

Great sale prices online now... $1299 return and no extra from Bris and Mel...!

All the J Awards are for the LAN Codeshare. Can anyone compare QF to LAN J?

The code shares don't show on the LAN website but on the oneworld planner there are LA code shares on the QF metal: SYD-SCL LA806, SCL-SYD LA807.

Correction, the code shares do show in the LAN timetables but not in their booking engine...
