Hi, what time does qf1 syd arrive in Dubai? How long in Dubai before travelling onto LHR? Is there time for trip to business lounge & possible shower? Many thanks.

It's scheduled to arrive at 12.35am and depart at 2.15am, so 1:40 on the ground in DXB. All passengers are required to disembark. Yes, you will have enough time to visit the EK lounge and (most likely) to have a shower.

From personal experience I had time for a walk, shower and a bite to eat in the restaurant all in the EK FLounge before boarding QF1 again without feeling rushed.

When you arrive at Dubai you have to go through security screening before getting into transit area. Lots of confusing announcements are made but everyone has to go through this as you cannot rebourd from the arrivals area.
Head up the escalator then in to the lift to the EK lounge. Last time I was in the F lounge I counted no less than 8 chefs, all with tall white hats working in the kitchen - the food is freshly cooked for you and pretty good after being on the plane for 15 hours. Showers are great and very clean. If it looks full try the other end of the lounge as most facilities seem to be available at both ends.
Exit straight from the lounge through a departure gate gate, go down in the lift and you will be right where the queue is to board.

Thank you, I've dropped to gold so no f lounge, hopefully I'll get to business lounge, time permitting.

Pity you are not in he F lounge. It sounds much better than J business lounge. you have to offload and take your belongings with you. You will have time in the lounge, eat, drink etc. My previous 2 experiences I have not been able to get a shower. Either too short a turnaround or to many in the queue. It's a good lounge plenty of space and variety of food. They will ask you which gate you are departing from and assign you to that part of the lounge. Grab a shave kit from the bathrooms for use in the LHR t3 arrivals they are pretty good.
