Success for 4 pax from Y to J on QF. Came through about 24 hours prior. Positive result, given that 2 of 3 U class seats had been redeemed about 2 weeks prior.

That was a win. The return journey - where QF cancelled AYQ-SYD the night before departure and shoved us all onto JQ - well, that's another story!

I was on that flight in J. Was surprised as there were actually two empty J seats across from me (FA said no shows which was interesting) and we were travelling with Master Chooms who was to swap between Mrs Chooms and I for the flight but he was able to occupy one of the empty seats for snoozing across the pacific. Sorry you missed out on the upgrade though…

Do they give out PJs and amenity kits on QF103 currently?

Well that sucks. Qantas cancelled our booked inbound leg and moved us to a later flight. Later flight ended up being an hour and a half delayed so we missed the connection. Points have already been refunded.

Yes. But no PJ’s on the return 104, just the amenity kits.

7/7 - QF35 MEL-SIN Y>J successful T28 assigned 1A bronze. Bag didn’t make the QF1 connection and is still missing 9 days later (AirTag tells me it’s still in SIN)

I’m Platinum and waiting on an update request to J for QF1 currently showing J9 C9 D9 just entered in T72 and still hasn’t come through yet.

Successful WP upgrade from Y to Y+ at the gate (asked for J) on QF93 MEL-LAX on July 9.

Disappointing return. Our connecting flight was late, giving us 12 minutes to sprint from Terminal 4 to TBIT. Made it with 2 minutes to spare, no upgrade and to make matters worse they gave away our originally selected Y seats likely expecting we wouldn't make the flight.

For some reason my SG colleague on a different ticket boarding at the same time as I did was upgraded from Y to Y+.

Looking forward to the return of the A380 in December.

Both of us were solo travellers which why I found it odd. Maybe I had a successful J gate upgrade that they gave away but my SG colleague had a Y+ upgrade left intact

Notified 7 days and 44 minutes before departure! Flight was showing I9.
Nice to see the A380 back on that route (every 3 days on the LAX/SYD route from 29/7 to end of August).

QF 26 Jun Failure Y to J LHR to SIN unfortunately. Flight was overbooked. So someone presumably will be flying tomorrow.
