QF Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Received a text from QFF-Reward on Saturday afternoon. Upgrade Y to J confirmed on QF571 SYD-PER 11/7. This was at around T-72 so i was surprised to the receive the confirmation so far out.
 
QF594 PER-BNE rejection message received at T-7.

Flex fare and upgrade requested when flight booked, I think Tuesday.

Absolute zero status with QF and rarely fly them. Flight looked packed on seat map. First QF flight in a few years - let's see how the roo goes against VA...

Monday 17/07/2017 - QF36 SIN - MEL - Y - J (x3).

DECLINED (oh well)
 
Upgrade on QF2, 09/07/17, from Y to J was unsuccessful, no notification was received.

QF16 LAX BNE 14 Jul 17 - applied for Pe to J points upgrade but was 400 points short :( received about 4 SMS messages advising I was short on points from T-72 hr out which I suspect was QF attempting to allocate a spot for me each time. But lucky me, received an OP upgrade when I checked in despite Pre flight food selection. I'll buy a lottery ticket :)
 
JUL 18 - QF128 HKG - SYD Y+ to J.

Was not notified, had to check myself on the Qantas app about T-12 - initially thought I'd missed out when nothing had changed at T-24. I couldn't change my seat because the flight was full.
 
Bronze Flying QF521 on 13aug BNE-SYD. Just recd upgrade offer 3k plus min $120ea . $40 has been mentioned previously. Guys is there a secret to reduce the dollar amount (2pax booked courtesy of qantas Amex ultimate cc , suppose I shouldn't complain)
 
Upgrade fairy just worked her magic so Mrscove and I are very happy vegemites tonight in Los Angeles.

Yes penegal that is the pointy end plan. Our double status credits run concludes by Saturday so in one go we are QF Platinum again. Mrscove does surveys and I did one this week too. All good so far.
 
56,000 QF points each came out of my account each way so I am replenishing the points used with the help of the ATO thread.
Mrscove now has a bigger lead in total Qantas points in our family.
 
Just had a quote for Perth Melbourne $2600 business upgrade I want to save some points. This time asking price is 25,000 points. One way. Maybe a discounted offer might come up for dollar upgrades?

All bought as Flex Y, but I now have confirmed points upgrades to J on all but 782 BNE-CNS (which had all J seats booked).
 
Cleared at T-28: SYD-WLG on today's 163.

Originally booked in Economy Saver (S) purchased on the 18th; upgrade requested immediately after booking.
