We are all aware that QF appears to have some sort of moral objection to ticketing/reticketing their bookings.
I have had some close calls in the past (ticketing on the day of travel and even at the airport) but my current experience has taken this to a new level when I travelled to BNE on Saturday without a valid ticket at all!!
This all started when I made some major changes to an existing reward booking last week (but the first sector remained the same). Despite three clear interventions on my part prior to travel, it turns out QF were unable (and have still been unable) to reticket the booking. QF have been unable to explain (and were very surprised) how I was able to travel to BNE without the booking being reticketed.
As it would appear that my original ticket is still in force, and as clearly displayed on the My Account web page (but not to my itinerary luckily), the absolute fools at QF still believe that I am flying to HKG and LHR tomorrow.
Despite the complete balls up this booking has become, QF have advised that they are 'aware' of the issue but refuse to do anything about it until later this week. It cannot be that hard to reticket a booking can it?
Luckily, I am flying to LHR on a seperate booking instead...
