Hello everyone,
I have been reviewing my QF SCs and I keep coming back to this bonus offered by Qantas:
Earn more with the Status Bonus
and this
Our Loyalty Bonus

As a QF Silver, am I supposed to be getting a status bonus on each flight? Or is it all part of the loyalty bonus with magic words to make it look like they are two different things?

Cheers, Max

Earn more with the Status Bonus
As you move up the membership tiers you could earn 50%, 75% or 100% more Qantas Points with Qantas, Jetstar. Eligible flights on American Airlines® also offer a Status Bonus#. Find out more about the Status Bonus.
Our Loyalty Bonus. An extra thank you.
Because we value your loyalty, you will receive a choice of reward for your Loyalty Bonus+ of 8,000 Qantas Points or 50 Status Credits for every 500 Status Credits you earn on eligible Qantas and Jetstar flights* each membership year, up to a maximum of 32,000 Qantas Points or 200 Status Credits+. And that's on top of the extra points tier members earn from the Status Bonus.

Status bonus will be included in each credit (note, minimum points guarantee is applied after, so it won’t make any difference for short flights like SYD-MEL).

Loyalty bonus is applied after reaching the requisite amount of QF/JQ status credits in a year. If you’re silver you probably won’t be earning enough to get this (and if you are you need to fly slightly more and get gold)

Thanks, @justinbrett
Welllll- this is embarrassing. After a lot of hunting for information about this (and then posting this question on AFF), I only just now saw a little click box on the earn page that says "Show Status Bonus points" (Hidden in plain sight, at the top of the page). I clicked it and- ta dah!- all my status bonuses are shown.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You can see the status bonus you'd get from different flights looking at the earning points & status credits calculator and comparing the points that a Bronze member would get and the points that a Silver member would get.

To get the first loyalty bonus you'd need to reach 500 SC on QF for the year. Considering one of the loyalty bonus options is 50 SC if you qualify for the loyalty bonus you'd only need 150 more SC to reach SG and those 150 SC don't have to come from QF flights.

There's a check box on the point activity page
