G'day all,
I am flying SYD-LHR in Y on QF 31 on the 30th of July. I have registered for a points upgrade to J. I checked availability on Seatcounter. It shows D &J as 9 and I as zero.

It also shows just a blank for A & F & R. Does this mean that this flight is being sold without first class????
It would be great if I can get my upgrade to J and then if its an aircraft with a F cabin but no F service to get an F seat. I will be watching closely.
Fingers, toes etc!!!

ExpertFlyer is showing a 747 with 56J/365Y seating (what usually flies QF5/6 SYD-FRA). There may be no F sold because there is no F cabin :)

Thanks AC, that explains it all.

I ditched my expertflyer subscription a while back. Seatcounter helps but not quite as good.

Cheers Batesy.

Wow! No F, nor Y+ being sold:

J9 C9 D9 I0 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 VC S9 NC Q9 O9 XC E0

FWIW, there's currently 18 unallocated Skybeds on this flight.

When I originally booked it was sold as an A-380 so QF must have put on whatever aircraft they could find!

Thanks for the note about the 18 unallocated beds!

There was a delay to QF receiving their 4th (?) A380, which has forced postponement of QF31/32 going to A380 every day. Some days are still 747, and it seems, as you say, they are digging up whatever they have available.

The 747 replacing the A380, is coming to you by virtue of QF127/128 turning into A330 flights over the end of July/beginning of August.

I have an expertflyer subscription, but do not know how to find out the plane's configuration. How do you do that ?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
