I am not elite, but think the card would be a novel souvenir. As I am on the CBR flight will see how I go.

Sad to see that its Wunala, she was my first ever 747 flight 😭

mine was OJA , but flew on OJG the most ..... original Wunula Dreaming was a 747-438 (OJB then OEJ - lease A/C I think) .... which QF staff called the City of Redfern .... Nalanji Dreaming was a 747-338 (EBU) which was blue

When the 767 had its final flight pax were told they could take them. So I guess only the CBR pax may have that opportunity.
Trying to imagine the headlines on news.com when all the elite by invitation paxs get arrested at the gate for stealing the emergency landing cards 🤣
I guess it would be a novel way to get the crews signatures.

With three such flights I'm sure they had enough spare printed/taken from other aircraft that they could provide one to each passenger in the goodie bag?

Did you fly on her in the 'Wunala Dreaming' livery?

We flew OEJ in the Wunula Dreaming livery back from Honolulu in 2004, it was awesome seeing the aircraft waiting at the gate.

BTW

the link to the original flight booking page is working....

Headline now says

“These flights are now sold out”

To all those who managed to book these, enjoy the flight. I'll have to live vicariously. Would have loved to be onboard one (my very first QF flight was a 747), but impossible for us eastern islanders.

I'd say it's a requirement of travel for anyone going to take lots of pictures and post them on here ;)

Is there any real benefit from taking those flights or is it just for fun?
Yes. Bragging rights....

In a consumerist society where we know the price of everything and yet the value of nothing, this is real value.

One last chance to here the engines begin the take-off, the slow yet fast speed as it ambles down the runway and the graceful take-off

Memories the last 747 flight into and out of Adelaide November 2019

Call me a party pooper but I don’t want my last memory of QF’s 747 to be under the Rona Fly Well Regime, with FAs wearing masks, constant reminders of social distancing and a terminal full of police and army troops.

I’ll choose to remember my last flight a year ago flying HNL-SYD in the old first class seats sipping champagne on a day flight over the Pacific.
